This standard Paris ASL Control Trailer Car normally worked in
a coupled set with a motor tramcar, which is available as BEC-KITS 36 Paris L Class Motor Car. The coupled set could be
driven from the B 350 X controller (Class ASL for use with L
class motor cars) or K 501 X controller (Class ASl for use with
G class motor cars) in the trailing end of the trailer car.
A first series of 150 AS1 Class trailer cars numbered from
1326 to 1475 were built from 1922-1923 for use with the GS1
class motor cars.
A series of 100 A Class trailer cars numbered from 1476 to 1575 were
built from 1924-1925 for use with L class motor cars, followed in 1930 by a
new series of 145 A Class trailers numbered from 1576 to 1720. Many were
converted into ASL Class cars for second class passengers,
including 1431-1475, 1576-1635 and 1683-1695. Some were converted into
AMSL Class cars (mixed) with both first and second class
compartments, including 1516-1575, as shown above.
