HO Scale model tram kits

BEC-KITS manufacture a wide range of model tramcar metal kits. Most of the present wide range of kits are HO Gauge 1:87 scale models of Continental trams from a variety of countries. Some of the kit features are:

• The kits contain body parts in whitemetal (a lead/tin alloy) and clear plastic glazing.
• The kits contain built unmotorised trucks or bogies, which have metal axles and wheels.
• The kits come with detailed instructions and construction diagrams.
• Each kit contains transfers/decals for an appropriate tramway system.
• Some of the kits contain a working pantograph or bow collector.

Motorised trucks

The motor trams can be motorised by purchasing BEC-KITS truck or bogie mechanisms. The particular mechanisms required are listed in the table below.

• The trucks are wired for two-rail 12 Volt DC current collection but can be altered by simple soldering for operation with a live overhead and common track return. This version can be supplied ready altered on request.
• The trucks use a heavy-duty Mabuchi motor and brass gears for a long working life.
